German Ancestry Research Focus Group

The goal of this group is to educate its members on all facets of research in Germany and other Germanic regions including parts of Poland, The Czech Republic, Alsace-Lorraine as well as German settlements in the Banat.  Finding German records can be challenging, but we try to make it less daunting with educational workshops, presentations and group discussions.

The group is led by Laura Schuck a resident of Castle Rock, an experienced German researcher. She lived in Germany for 13 years and has a very strong grasp of the language as well as the old German Script.

We meet the third Thursday of each month from 10:00 – 12:00 at the Castle Rock Public Library. If you have any questions please contact Laura at
