Directions to Denver Public Library (DPL)
Plan to leave the Philip S. Miller Library no later than 09:15 a.m.
Enter I-25 North toward Denver
Take the Colfax Avenue exit (Exit 210A) (29.3 mi)
Turn onto Colfax Avenue East (1.8 mi)
Turn right onto Broadway and proceed past the library (0.3 mi)
Turn right onto W. 12th Avenue for approximately 150 feet
Enter the public Parking Garage on right
Estimated driving time is 37 minutes
Park toward the far end of the garage for easy access to the DPL
Rates: Up to 2 hours – $3
Up to 3 hours – $4
Up to 4 hours – $7

Details:
Library opens at 10:00 a.m.
Genealogy collection is on the 5th floor
There is a coffee bar just inside the main entrance on the left
No refreshments are allowed in the Western History & Genealogy Section
Tour starts promptly at 10:30 a.m. for approximately 1 hour
Conducted by James K. Jeffrey, Genealogy Specialist

Copies cost $0.10 ea. Payable at the desk when you are done
You do need a DPL card if you use designated computers
Bring your Douglas County Library card with you and
DPL will append a DPL number to the reverse – FREE
WiFi is available to use your personal computer
Research assistance is available at no cost

Lunch Break:
Lunch is optional for those who wish to eat with the tour group
We will break for lunch at 12:00 p.m. at Palettes Restaurant
This is right across from the DPL in the Denver Art Museum
Reservations are REQUIRED and all are welcome
For those who click to make a lunch reservation below, we will take care of the details

Research:
We will return to the Genealogy Section at 1:30 for independent research
You may stay as long as you desire
For those who car pool, the driver will determine the departure time
