“For Better or For Worse: Marriage, Separation and Divorce”, by Carol Darrow

June 17 Topic:  For Better or For Worse: Marriage, Separation and Divorce

Marriage, separation and divorce have affected the lives of many of our ancestors and their descendants. What may have started out as a dream of love and happiness may have turned into a nightmare of arguments, fights, separation, divorce or desertion. Finding records of these events, both happy and sad, are the challenge of the genealogist.

Carol Cooke Darrow has been a certified genealogist since 2005. She is the past president of the Colorado Genealogical Society and has written a book on researching tax records. She currently volunteers at DPL on Tuesdays and at NARA on Thursdays.
