June 20 Topic: “The Night Sky”, by Maria Sutton
We are very excited to have Maria Sutton, award winning author of “The Night Sky” join us in June.
Maria was born in Dachau, in the barracks of Germany’s Displaced Persons, right after WWII. An overheard conversation at the age of twelve led her on 43 year search for her biological father without even his vital information or the correct spelling of his name to get her started.
Please mark your calendars on June 20 for Maria’s heartwarming story of determination, genealogy and investigative skills used in finally finding her past.
Maria graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting and has also attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She has been employed by the U. S. government in several capacities throughout her Federal career, receiving many awards for her writing and investigative skills.
