Our History

On May 24, 2008, a group of twelve people with an interest in starting a genealogical society in Castle Rock met at the Philip S. Miller Library. That day, the society became a reality, with the selection of a name, monthly meeting time, and establishment of annual dues.

Volunteers filled the necessary board positions, and by the end of 2008, there were 17 members. Now the society has grown to over 100 members, and continued growth and development is expected for the Castle Rock Colorado Genealogical Society.
