CRCGS sponsors a week-long research trip to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. The fall trip dates are September 9-14, 2013.
A block of 12 rooms has been reserved at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel at Temple Square, 122 West South Temple Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. The hotel is next door to the Family History Library, and more hotel information can be found at http://www.plaza-hotel.com/.
The nightly room rate is $85 for Single or Double occupancy, $92 for Triple or Quad. There is an additional charge of 12.6% tax. Parking is offered at $5 per day. The discounted room block is available at these rates until August 1. After August 1, any remaining rooms will be released and reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis at their usual rate of $119 per night.
To make a reservation, call the hotel at (800) 366-3684, and be sure to identify yourself as part of the “Castle Rock Genealogical Society.” All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card or first night’s deposit. Individuals must cancel their reservation at least 72 hours prior to the first day of arrival to avoid one night’s room charge. (If you have any questions/concerns about this, please get confirmation from the hotel when you call to reserve your room.)
Transportation and Meals are at your own expense. For those flying, the hotel offers free airport shuttle service.
Prep classes will be offered prior to the research trip to help attendees prepare. First-time attendees are especially encouraged to attend one or more of these classes.
