Welcome to
Castle Rock Colorado Genealogical Society
Promoting knowledge, guidance and support in the study of family history

Our education classes and Saturday programs are conducted through Zoom, an online telecommunications service.
You will be asked to register for all events, including Saturday programs. After registering, a link to join the webinar will be emailed to you ahead of the scheduled time for the webinar. Please check your email for more information.
In the meantime, stay safe and stay well.
As we spend much more time at home, we encourage you to explore online resources to dig into your research, find that lost relative, or break through that brick wall.
Here are some materials we have collected for you. We have also created an area with
suggestions and projects and a
FORUM page for messaging and discussion. Please feel free to post your questions, your brick walls and even your victories! New content is added several times a week, so check back often. As isolated as we are, let's stay in touch virtually through our love of genealogy!

Are you using the FAN (Family, Associates, Neighbors) principal to trace your ancestors? Many immigrants left their countries either with relatives and neighbors or to join relatives and old neighbors who had already emigrated. Look for patterns in census records, immigration, tax and church records. Look for witnesses on documents - you might find a link.
